A Focus on Online Gambling and A Record Attendance – The Perfect Send-Off For ICE London

The curtain comes to a close for one of the most prominent events in the online gambling world – ICE London. After 15 years of incredible exhibitions and partnership agreements on the spot, the iconic ICE event will search for a new home next year.

A Record-Breaking Attendance

Well, as far as sending-offs go, this is some way to do so! The International Casino Exhibition has grown impeccably over the past few years, and this global gaming event reached its pinnacle this year.

More than 32,000 participants were present on the first day, accompanied by 811 exhibitors from 76 countries in the world. The event itself is huge, as the floor counts over 60,000 square metres of net space, which is simply stunning.

Barcelona – The New Home Starting 2025

ICE’s organizers announced last August that starting in 2025, ICE will relocate to Barcelona, starting a new era for the exhibition.

No one should really be surprised to see that ICE’s relocation was one of the most discussed topics at the event.

The vast majority of attendees were thrilled by the new venue, looking forward to new partnership agreements and a fresh new look. Sure, you could occasionally find someone who hasn’t digested the news about the relocation yet, but we are confident that they will have no problem adapting next year in beautiful Barcelona!

As it currently stands, ICE Barcelona will take place at Fira Barcelona. This is a venue that has an even bigger floor space – 240,000 square metres! The scheduled dates for the exhibition are 20-22nd January 2025.

A Strong Focus on Online Gambling

Online gambling continues to flourish all around the world, and as has been the case in the past few years, it has taken centre stage in this year’s edition of ICE London.

All of the biggest names in the gambling industry were present, alongside various payment provider companies, so one would inevitably expect an even bigger focus on the sector next year in Barcelona.

We cannot neglect land-based operators as well which always seek to make their presence known. They try to compete with the online gambling scene with innovations and products, but it seems like they are fighting a lost battle.

Software providers also seek to enter as many markets as possible and partner with the biggest online casino brands. As such, just a fraction of the game developers present at ICE London this year included:

  • Evolution Gaming
  • Play’n GO
  • BetConstruct
  • Amatic
  • EGT
  • Softswiss
  • Sportradar

LatAm at the Focus

The past couple of years have brought some interesting developments in the LatAm region, most notably Brazil.

Online gambling was recently legalized in Brazil, and with a population of over 215 million residents, it is no wonder to see that all players in the gambling industry are interested in how the market will develop.

The African market was also a hot topic for discussion, and we fully expect these continents to dominate ICE Barcelona in 2025!
